Archers - Artist Spotlight

Archers is a band I’ve followed since 2023 - first introduced to them on the hottest day of the year at a DIY venue with no air conditioning (which was just as sweaty as you expect) and going back the next year to do it all over again, and again after that. If my commitment to always catching them when they’re in town says anything,  I’d say they’re a band you’ll want to listen to now to have those bragging rights before they fully blow up.

Their Story So Far:

Archers was originally formed in 2015 by lead vocalist Nathanael Pulley and guitarist Ben Koehler, with bassist Oscar Porter and drummer Grayson Mesarosh later joining in to help bring the band’s unique blend of pop-rock and metalcore to life. With the release of their EP “New Normal” in 2020, Archers found themselves breaking out into the scene - a success that continued to snowball after the release of hit single “Bitter” and recent single “Never Enough” was added into SiriusXM Octane’s regular rotation. Their latest release, “Wide Awake,” was featured on Kerrang’s Best New Music Chart this past week.

What They’re Up To:

Archers has had a very busy past few years - running headlining tours, opening for Asking Alexandria in 2024, as well as playing Louder Than Life Festival in 2022 & 2023. 2025 has been no exception to their busy schedule, having already completed a full tour run with Catch Your Breath, hitting a couple of runs with The Funeral Portrait, and opening for The Used in Detroit. They head over to Europe for the first time in June, playing a few headlining club shows around their festival appearances at Rock For People, Download Festival, and Greenfield Festival. Their plans for the year don’t end in Europe, though, as they announced a 19-date headlining U.S. tour last month, and will be at Summerfest and Rock Fest in Wisconsin this July. Need to look a little further in the future? They’ll also be opening for Nothing More on their upcoming North American run in early 2026.

What To Listen To:

Not the type to shuffle a whole artist's discography and need some pointers on where to start? I’d suggest adding to your playlist some of their popular singles, such as “Bitter and “Drag Me Out” - plus “Before You Go (Acoustic)” for a vibe change when you want something calmer. Other favorites of mine include “Smiling Out of Habit,” “Made For Love,” and “Blackmarketmonkeymagic” from their earlier-mentioned breakthrough EP. If you prefer a visual experience instead of just listening, no worries, as they have a music video out for their recent single “Better Off” over on their recently signed label SBG Records’ YouTube channel, as well as several older music videos featured on their personal YouTube channel. If you find yourself wanting more, you’re in luck, as they’ve also recently announced the upcoming release of a new EP, Temporary High, on June 13th, which you can go ahead and pre-order now.
