Looking for a new pop-rock band that’s got a huge buzz surrounding it? Go and check out Honey Revenge now, because they’re bound to have an even bigger swarm of people following them before long!

Their Story So Far:
Formed in 2021 by Devin Papadol (vocals) and Donovan Lloyd (guitar), Honey Revenge is an up-and-coming pop punk duo that previously graced my timeline with their extensive use of puns and was nicknamed the “Bee Band” over on Twitter. They’re a unique-sounding band, thanks to a wide range of influences including Hannah Montana, Paramore, and Pierce the Veil. Their overall aim is to combine metalcore, punk-rock, and the “edgier” side of pop into their sound.
Honey Revenge has had major support from the press, being featured on Spotify’s “Fresh Finds” in 2022 before they’d even released their debut record, as well as features in Kerrang!, Rock Sound, and MTV. Their debut record, “Retrovision,” was released in 2023, earning positive reviews from major and independent outlets alike. They’ve had several single releases since then, including “Recipe For Disaster,” which was written during a TikTok live in 202,4 and their latest single, “Risk,” which came out in May.
The band has also had a successful touring history, making a name for themself in the DIY scene as well as opening for some names in the scene you’ve definitely heard of before: Loveless, State Champs, and The Home Team, just to name a few. Honey Revenge has played both Warped Tour Long Beach and Warped Tour Washington D.C. this year, and were previously featured on Idobi Radio’s Summer School tour as well. They’ve even got a UK run under their belt, thanks to opening up for The Used.
What They’re Up To:
Honey Revenge has some major events coming up soon, playing Riot Fest in Chicago next month before kicking off each night as the opener for Spiritbox’s North American tour. The band’s also shared on social media that they’re cooking up new music, which you can get sneak peeks of over on their Patreon! While I don’t know when they’ll next release music, I can only hope it’ll be soon so we can all learn the lyrics in time to see them with Spiritbox later this fall.
What To Listen To:
I personally think you should always start with the newest song, so be sure to stream “Risk” before heading into the rest of their discography. Other personal favorites of theirs include “Seeing Negative (Disappointment)” and “Are You Impressed?”. If you’re more for listening to the biggest hits first, check out “Airhead,” “Rerun,” and “Distracted.” They’ve also got a collab with Magnolia Park, “Unholy Heart,” which you should check out if you haven’t heard it already!
