Scene Queen took the stage at The Criterion in Oklahoma City as the opening act for BABYMETAL, bringing a high-energy performance that immediately grabbed the audience's attention. As the lights dimmed and the music started, she ran out in a striking pink mini dress with white fur trim, making it clear this was going to be a show unlike any other. Her outfit alone—bold, playful, and edgy—set the tone for the entire set. Her confidence and stage presence alone were undeniable, showing that she was there to entertain and have fun, marking a strong start with my first visit to the city.

The setlist was packed with her most well-known songs, starting with “Pink Push-Up Bra” and quickly moving into tracks like “18+” and “Mutual Masturbation.” Each song, while cheeky and provocative, had a catchy energy that kept the crowd engaged. Scene Queen’s performance was a balance of humor and irreverence, and the audience responded enthusiastically, singing along and interacting with one another.

The energy remained high through “MILF,” “Pink G-String,” and “Pink Panther,” with Scene Queen making sure the crowd was fully immersed in the performance. She kept things lighthearted and whimsical, and the crowd mirrored her attitude, enjoying every moment. “Pink Rover” was definitely a standout track, with its infectious rhythm that had people jumping and dancing, and one that many sang the loudest.

During “Barbie & Ken,” Joey from In Her Own Words joined Scene Queen on stage as a surprise stage collaboration. The duo brought a fresh dynamic to the show, and the crowd was visibly excited by the energy between the two performers. It was one of the highlights of the set, with both artists feeding off each other’s enthusiasm.

Scene Queen’s set was a perfect blend of humor, punk-rock rebellion, and infectious melodies. She was unapologetically herself—never too serious, always fun, and thoroughly engaging. By the time she wrapped up her performance, the audience was completely hyped and ready for BABYMETAL, but Scene Queen had already set the bar high. Her performance was not just an opening act; it was an event in itself. She proved that she knows how to command a stage, create a unique atmosphere, and leave a lasting impression. The crowd had a blast, letting go and having fun with a performer who clearly loves every moment of what she does.

For anyone unfamiliar with Scene Queen, this set was a perfect introduction to her world of boundary-pushing fun and unapologetic flair.
