Not even a rare rainy evening in Los Angeles could dampen the excitement that buzzed inside Permanent Records Roadhouse on November 2nd. The intimate dive bar and record store played host to New York's indie rockers Loose Buttons, who packed the room with over 100 fans eager for a night of music that promised to be anything but ordinary.

From the moment they hit the stage, Loose Buttons showcased a magnetic presence that instantly turned the small venue into a frenzy of dancing and cheers. Their setlist featured punchy, unforgettable tracks like “Minor Leaguer,” the cheekily titled “I Saw Jon Hamm at the Beach,” and the electrifying “Strangers in a Night Club.” The crowd fed off their kinetic energy, responding with unbridled enthusiasm that made the room feel even more electric.

Loose Buttons’ sound is a blend of sharp guitar riffs, addictive rhythms, and lyrics that paint vivid urban stories. They channel the indie cool of The Strokes, the raw edge of Arctic Monkeys, and the playful yet poignant feel of The Wombats. The fans of bands such as Arcy Drive, The Moss, or Dice would also instantly fall in love with them.

This night felt particularly special to me, not just as a writer or photographer, but as someone who has been a fan for years. I first discovered Loose Buttons over two years ago at a live show that left a lasting impression. I left that night with a hoodie and a signed vinyl of *Something Better*—my very first signed record. What made the experience even more memorable was lead singer Eric Nizgretsky, who not only took the time to chat but remembered me and kept in touch through social media. That initial spark of fandom evolved into something bigger, culminating in the chance to write this article and capture the magic of their show through my lens

The November 2nd performance was yet another testament to their potential and undeniable talent, proving that Loose Buttons are poised for larger stages and bigger crowds. For now, though, the intimacy of Permanent Records Roadhouse offered an up-close experience that reinforced what I—and the packed room—already knew: destined to leave their mark.
