Beach Bunny's - Clueless to those who also have an existential crisis each day

Beach Bunny has just released their latest single to be featured on their third studio album. This album came out just three days before lead singer Lili Trifilio’s golden birthday. She was turning 28 on September 28th, which is perfect for a song that covers themes of aging and figuring out life.
For many, myself included, the time around our birthdays can be very emotional. This song beautifully captures the feelings of reflection when we think of our lives and what we have done in them. The feelings about these things are complicated and complex when it comes to time, change, and reflection. The lead guitar rift carries you through the ups and downs when thinking of the what ifs and the what can be.
Change is a core part of this track, not just how life changes but how we as humans change. It’s like when you think back to how younger you would react to you at the current moment. Would they be sad, mad, impressed, or think you're the coolest person ever?
Reflection is personal, but Beach Bunny does a fantastic job organizing the mess your mind can spiral into when reflecting on life. The song opens with “Thought I'd be a different person, but it's just a different life, " which sets the stage for how these existential crises start. Beach Bunnys' signature upbeat rock style adds lightheartedness to these.
The lyrics call to Beach Bunny’s signature style of what runs through someone's head or in a diary entry, with the atmosphere almost like a spiral. With the hook on “How did I change? How did it change?” Which is really what life feels like most of the time. When we look back on ourselves at the start, did we accomplish everything we wanted this year? Not even this year, but are we making our younger selves happy? Especially with the recent conversions that have been happening about doing things for our inner child. Clueless is the perfect song if you are 28 or 14; that clueless feeling can be found at any age. If you enjoy this style of music and themes, I recommend checking out Beach Bunny and their other works, as they are just as impactful.
