The night kicked off with Pancho and the Wizards, a dynamic four-piece from San Luis Obispo, California. Their energy was infectious, creating an electrifying start to the evening at Aviator Dreamland in Malibu. The band’s setup was unique — with the lead singer positioned on the left side of the stage and the bassist front and center — adding a quirky charm to their jam-band feel. By their last few songs, the audience was moshing, fully caught up in the moment.

Sun Room took the stage next, bringing their signature surf-rock sound. As a devoted fan who's now been to five of their shows, it was thrilling to see the room packed to capacity with new faces, mixed in with some familiar ones. The setlist featured songs from their latest EP, Can’t Explain, along with a mix of Sun Room’s new music and some of their beloved older tracks like “Crashed My Bike,” “Sunset Garage,” “Fun,” “Just Yesterday,” and “Sol Del Sur.” However, the absence of “Clementine,” one of their most popular songs, left me a bit disappointed. It felt like attending a 5 Seconds of Summer concert without hearing "She Looks So Perfect" — the show felt incomplete without it.

Despite that minor letdown, the band's performance was nothing short of incredible. The way the boys of Sun Room pour their energy into their music on stage is always a sight to behold. The entire room was dancing and singing along, proof of their growing fan base and the impact of their music.

Sun Room is also set to embark on a tour opening for Dayglow starting September 13th, a testament to their rising popularity and reach. Overall, it was a night of incredible performances and undeniable energy. Sun Room’s ability to connect with their audience is unmatched, and I look forward to seeing them live again soon.
