Taylor Swift announces her 12th studio album - The Life Of A Showgirl

On May 30th, 2025 Taylor Swift took to instagram to announce that after all this time she finally owns her life’s work, every bit of it. Since then fans have been patiently waiting to see what she has in store for them next and I think this is exactly what we all wanted!
On August 11th, 2025 at 7:00am MST. The New Heights social media accounts posted their teaser with an orange glittery background for their upcoming podcast episode that is set to be released Wednesday August 13th at 7:00pm ET. Fans immediately recognized the silhouette to be the one and only Taylor Swift. Throughout the day fans went crazy with all their guesses and speculations and for the first time in a long time we were finally correct!
If you’re new here New Heights is a podcast hosted by the two Kelce Brothers; Jason and Travis. The New Heights podcast, launched on September 8, 2022. It quickly gained popularity, becoming the #1 sports podcast on both Apple Podcasts and Spotify. In August 2024, the podcast signed a deal with Amazon for more than $100 million.During the podcast, the brothers discuss sports news and headlines as well as their personal lives. They also feature special guests periodically, including athletes and Hollywood celebrities.
At 7:00pm MST. Taylor shut down her website and created a 3 hour countdown ending at 12:12AM EST (10:12pm MST) on August 12th. At 8:00pm MST. On August 11th, the speculations were finally confirmed, Taylor Swift was the Special Guest and fans started investigating the video as per usual. Behind Taylor they noticed an oddly familiar looking square that was orange with her initials TS on them in a new font. Taylor is known for having a new font for each era.
At 12:12am on August 12th New Heights posted a clip of Taylor announcing her 12th Studio Album… The Life of A Showgirl! Alongside the announcement Taylor’s site opened back up and fans were able to purchase the vinyl, CD, and cassette tape for the upcoming album. The cover is still yet to be released but the album products are set to be shipped out before Monday October 13th, 2025, however there is no official release date set. Billboards in NYC and Nashville have also popped up leading to a new Spotify playlist by Taylor called “and, baby, that’s show business for you ❤️🔥” The playlist features 22 songs, all of which have been produced by Max Martin and Shellback, leading to speculation that her new album may be produced by the duo.
