Charlotte Sands' New Album Out Soon, Listen To "One Eye Open" Today

In case you missed our previous spotlight on alt-pop’s bright blue-haired it-girl, I’ll give you the quick rundown. Charlotte Sands is a one-of-a-kind, DIY to the core kind of artist. She creates her own merch, her own makeup looks, and even her own jewelry. Her music career got off to the same kind of start, creating songs in her bedroom after she stole her mom’s car and moved to Nashville with the dream of becoming a music sensation. Her single “Dress” (written about Harry Styles’ iconic Vogue moment) was an instant hit within hours and has gathered over 61 million streams to date.
As her music career blossomed, she charted on the U.S. Top 40 for over 15 weeks. She’s also won ‘Best Breakthrough Album’ at the Heavy Music Awards and amassed over 300 million streams on music platforms - all while remaining an independent artist. Her touring history is just as strong as her streaming history, having opened for My Chemical Romance, YUNGBLUD, and 5 Seconds of Summer. Sands was also one of the 7 artists featured on this year’s Idobi Radio Summer Tour Festival, which toured across the United States this past summer.
With touring commenced, Sands is ready to move on to her next project - an album titled “Satellite,” which releases on March 6th, 2026. The album will feature her known, genre-blending sound, fearlessly honest lyrics, and push her alt-pop universe even further. Commenting on the album, Sands says:
“'Satellite' was born from a search for meaning, identity, and self-worth,” she says. “It’s a collection of moments from the last two years of my life, the highs and lows, the joy and the grief. To celebrate the announcement of the new album, Sands has released a new track “one eye open.” The high-energy track is melodic to its core, and you can instantly hear all of Sands’ emotions in her voice and the lyrics. It’s a track you’ll want to put on repeat again and again. About the track Sands shares:
“‘one eye open’ is about learning that love isn’t supposed to feel like survival. It’s the realization you’ve been mistaking control for care and the breaking point that forces you to remove yourself from their grip and remember who you were before they made you doubt it. This song is about taking your power back and choosing your own peace over their chaos. I hope it gives you the strength to put yourself first and serves as a reminder of just how capable you really are.”
