Hayley Williams stuns fans with the release of Good Ol Days

by Kelsie Barlow | December 1st, 2025

After releasing a jam-packed album, Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party, Hayley Williams surprised fans with a new track, Good Ol Days, that brings unbeatable vibes. The song was released on October 24th and had its debut live performance at the same time. The vibe of the song is bouncy and chill, seemingly drawing inspiration from the musical stylings of SZA. The song leans into the more soulful sound that Williams is known for in her solo work, which is different from the pop/punk-rock vibes she normally brings with her band Paramore.

Paramore has been on a break since the release of their last album, This Is Why, in 2023. Good Ol Days, along with other songs like Parachute and Love Me Different, have fans speculating on whether the relationship between Williams and Paramore guitarist Taylor York has ended. Nothing has been confirmed between the two of them, but the lyrics of these songs have fans reeling from trying to figure out what they mean. In Good Ol Days, Williams sings “When I was secret, you kept me. Skinny divorcè, do you regret me? I’m thinking maybe should we go back? Stay friends? Keep all the benefits? We could sneak around like we’re on tour, even if that’s all you want me for. You could call me Miss Paramore.”

Recently, Hayley Williams announced and quickly sold out a US and European solo tour that will highlight the new album. In addition to the anticipation of her sold-out tour, Williams has also racked up an impressive four Grammy nominations this year. She has been nominated for best alternative music album for Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party, best alternative music performance with Parachute, best rock song with Glum, and best rock performance with Mirtzazapine. Hayley Williams has stunned the world with her standout album and songs like Good Ol Days. I can’t wait to see the success she has with this tour, and hopeful that she will take home some Grammys for her unbelievably soulful, fun, and relatable work.
