On July 29th, 2025, Ghost put on an unforgettable performance in Milwaukee at the Fiserv Forum that absolutely brought the house down. Ghost took the stage promptly at 8:00 pm and had the crowd wrapped around their fingers from the second the lights dimmed. I liked Ghost’s music before photographing the show, but seeing it brought to life in such a theatrical way made me a real fan. Both the band's music and scenery have religious themes that focus on satan and darkness.

One of my favorite components of this concert was the set and lighting. Seeing Ghost live isn’t like seeing any other concert; it’s like watching a theatrical production. Behind the band was a screen that curved and took up the width of the stage. It constantly changed imagery that helped accentuate the themes of the music. In the middle of their set, the background of a church with stained glass images of the devil that eventually shattered, and in later songs, reformed into stained glass images of Jesus. After this, the set transported the audience into Hell, where we saw surreal images of people with eyes growing on their foreheads, goat heads, and random body parts forming mosaics around live video of the Ghost performing. I’m a huge fan of horror, and was captivated for the entirety of the show.

Additionally, this was the first-ever phone-free concert I attended. Upon entering the venue, all spectators and employees had to place their phones in a Yonder Bag, which would be unlocked after the show ended. I’ve attended more concerts than I can count, and during all of them, you’re looking over/ at the screen of a phone being held up in front of you, and not seeing a single phone in the arena made for a unique experience that you don’t see a ton in this day and age. Looking around, every single person in the crowd was engaged in the show and having the time of their lives rocking out.

Lead singer, ‘Papa V Perpetua’, took some time to speak to the audience as well, and blew a kiss to each section of the arena. The band also dedicated their performance to Jeffrey Fortune and his family. Jeffrey passed away at one of Ghost’s last rituals in Milwaukee, and the family and Jeffrey’s memory were beautifully honored as they rocked out front and center of the pit. Fans continued to rock out to the band's sixth studio album, Skeleta, and enjoyed a night of fantastic live music, confetti, pyrotechnics, smoke, and ritual on the 2025 Skeletour. See Ghost live in a city near you; tour dates are listed below.
