Social Casualty’s Summer 2026 Hits

by Mikaela Mohr | July 1st, 2026

With the official start of summer last week and the beginning of July, there have been many noteworthy releases from a variety of artists. Each year, the internet declares a “Song of the Summer,” with some discourse. The tunes go viral on TikTok and, when heard, are associated with the season.

This past year, “Ordinary” by Alex Warren was the most streamed. In 2024, “Espresso” by Sabrina Carpenter, “End of the Beginning” by Djo, and the entirety of Charli xcx’s “Brat” album took over the internet. “Cruel Summer” by Taylor Swift and “Tumblr Girls” by G-Eazy went viral in 2023. For 2022, “As It Was” by Harry Styles and “Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)” by Kate Bush were significant. In 2021, “Heat Waves” by Glass Animals made waves.

This year, there have been many new releases that serve as a plausible soundtrack, along with past releases that continue to resonate. The team at Social Casualty has compiled our nominees for “Song of the Summer” for 2026.
