Everyone always wants to be the “first” to discover a new band, but rarely do we get the chance to find them that early on. It’s a special kind of bragging rights to say you’ve been a fan of a band from their first release. If that’s something you’ve always wanted to do, don’t worry, we’ve got just the band for you: Way More So.

Way More So, a band name that’s a play on the phrases “way more” and “more so,” was founded in late 2023 in London, UK. They’re an alternative pop-punk trio, taking heavy inspiration from some of the bigger bands in the scene. If you’re a fan of Alkaline Trio, Blink-182, Green Day, and others in that niche, you’ll find that Way More So is right up your alley.

The band has only officially released one song so far, “Yeah, Yeah, You’re Right,” which came out just this past month. If you had told me it was a new Blink-182 song, I would’ve believed you. With groovy guitars and a familiar rhythm, the song is instantly catchy and fits right in on a playlist of songs from the bands that inspired them.

With the release of their first song also came the release of the accompanying music video, which you can check out over on the band’s YouTube channel. Filmed both on the streets and in a performance space, the video gives us a good look into the personalities of the bands’ members. They’re full of energy, having fun with each other, and generally seem to just be having a good time doing what they love. It’s too easy to get wrapped up in trying to make sure everything is perfect, so for a band to just kick back and have a good time is something special to see.

If you’d like to keep up with Way More So, be sure to check them out on social media. With how they’re just kicking off, there’s sure to be more coming from them soon. And of course, who wouldn’t want to be there to say they knew them from the start?
